water. just drink more water.

Right so I know this sounds dead obvious but I've had three clients this week cramp up mid-session and every single one of them hadn't had barely anything to drink all day. Like not even close to enough. And it's not even a hot day. Honestly hydration is the one thing people treat like an afterthought and then wonder why their lifts feel heavy or they're gassing out on something that usually feels fine. I notice it myself if I've been slack — weights feel heavier, I'm slower, and I'm just... off. Hard to explain but you know when your body isn't right. To be fair I used to be bad for it too, I'd just grab a coffee and head straight to the gym. Nae chance I'd do that now. I aim for about 500ml before I even start warming up and then I'm sipping throughout. Nothing mental, just consistent. It doesn't need to be complicated.

working outside on the coast does that to me all the time, wind dries you out without you even noticing and then everything just feels like twice the effort
