summer skin is a whole different project

Right so I've basically had to overhaul everything this past few weeks because what worked in February is doing absolutely nothing for me now. My skin doesn't know what's hit it. The SPF thing I've finally cracked — I was one of those people who skipped it unless I was actively on a beach, which, looking back, was completely ridiculous. I use a light one now, just SPF 30, and I put it on before I leave the flat in the morning same as I'd put on shoes. It took maybe two weeks to feel like a normal step rather than a faff. The ROI on that two minutes honestly. What I've also noticed is that my usual moisturiser is too heavy in this heat. Like it was fine all winter but now I'm just sitting at my desk feeling like I've got cling film on my face. Switched to something lighter, gel texture, and it's made a difference — I'm less shiny by 2pm which is frankly all I ask of life. The main thing I keep forgetting is drinking enough. I've got my matcha flask going all morning but then I'll realise it's half three and I've had about four sips of water since lunch. My skin absolutely tells on me when I've done that. Dead obvious in meetings, which is annoying. I don't have some elaborate 12-step routine or anything. Cleanser, light moisturiser, SPF in the morning. Double cleanse at night if I've been anywhere that involved being outside for more than ten minutes. That's basically it. Simple tends to survive contact with a busy week better than complicated does.

sweating through summer WODs does not help, my skin was a mess until I started washing my face properly straight after training

I train outside a lot in summer and honestly reapplying after a sweaty run is the bit I always forget
