spring skin, still figuring it out

Honestly I thought switching to lighter products in spring would just... happen naturally. Like instinct. But my skin has been a bit confused for weeks now — not dry exactly, but not happy either. That kind of dull tight feeling after cleansing. What's actually helped is just slowing down the swap rather than doing it all at once. I kept my collagen routine going (three years in, I'm not messing with that) and just swapped one thing at a time — lighter moisturiser first, then I stopped with the heavy overnight balm. Mind you I still use it if I've had a rubbish sleep or my skin looks tired. The other thing I've been doing is SPF properly now that there's actual daylight again. I was a bit lazy with it through winter tbh. It's not a dramatic change but my skin does feel more balanced — less of that weird combination thing where your forehead is oily and your cheeks are dry at the same time. Still not sorted but we're getting there.

aye especially when you've not changed anything and it just starts happening on its own in spring

usually means the cleanser is stripping too much, switching to something more milky made a difference for me
